A general statement about my practice has limited use. I may go long stretches focused on a specific path. I may come back to something after some time, either to change it or to start down another path connected to it.

I fabricate works to think about, explore, lose myself in… I select elements from my experience, my observations, and make visual comments about them, their rhythms, structures, their compositional elements and formalities, to determine specific combinations to accomplish a particular poetry.

It’s all akin to hiking a trail and following tributaries that peel off into previously unexplored areas, making discoveries along the way. Even traveling the same paths surprise with something previously unnoticed, or a perception that I had not recognized before. Executing what I intend in the fabricating process, concerning those discoveries, is the juice.

What a viewer takes away from the resulting presentations is dependent on the viewer's experience and perception. When relevant, I do provide narratives for groups of works and on an individual case by case. In the broadest sense, I consider my catalog to be as the content of books and their various components. Or music, in its different iterations. At best, a general statement is merely a marker stating “start here”.
